Grading for Athletic Field York PA

Completed athletic field just sodded

The original grade on this property was not conducive for an athletic field. The large area was sloped towards a tree line but was otherwise open and sunny.

Several feet of ground needed to be excavated from the top side to provide a level surface for the athletic field.

After excavation to level, adding and compacting topsoil
After excavation to level, topsoil is added back, leveled and compacted to provide the final surface for new sod.

A berm is added around the field to assist with drainage and excess storm water. Some trees are removed from the lower edge of the field allowing more air movement and assuring sufficient sun for health grass.
